[UNIVERSITY PROJECT BEGINS IN MEXICO]

MEXICO CITY – On 2 July 2018 at UNEVE de Valle del Ecatepec University, the ‘El Verano de la Investigaciòn’ or ‘Summer of Research’ began. A large number of professors from prestigious international and local universities took part in the event.

As a partner of the university since 2013, Inter Campus spoke about the project and presented the study possibilities in the coming months involving children, families and coaches alongside university staff.

The studies have been founded according to the social needs in the Municipality of Ecatepec which is the most populated in Latin America with over 3 million inhabitants. It’s a very fragile environment with intra/extra familial violence, high school dropout rates, the use and trade of drugs and sexual discrimination. This is where the Inter Campus kids live and grow up with their families.

Research will allow for an evaluation of impact made by Inter Campus on how the children develop as they train three times a week at the university.

Uneve will run a project called ‘Escuela para Padres’ or ‘School for Parents’ with the aim of sharing knowledge and educational practices that parents can then use with their children.

This all stems from a pitch and a football which allow children to develop their character with the help of a team of coaches. In this team, there are three who were previously children in the project and they represent the sense of belonging and educational strength of Inter Campus better than anyone.
