[The Inter Campus Adventure continues in Poland]

SANT EDWIGE – Inter Campus Poland has been up and running since 2002 on the outskirts of Krakow. The project is run in partnership with local association Parafialni Klub Jadwiga, the parish sports club with more than 800 members, who aim to promote children’s development through football.

The fruitful relationship between the two parties first came about a decade after the fall of the Berlin wall. Since then, Inter Campus and Jadwiga have worked side by side to teach moral values, using the game of football to contribute to the local children’s development and upbringing. Respecting the rules and others, loyalty and courage are all a part of sport, an example of how to conduct oneself on and off the pitch. Football is a great lesson in life for the youngsters.

Work in the Sant Edwige area of the city is proving successful. Over the years, Inter Campus have committed to training a group of local coaches. They have taken on board the project’s methodology, sharing its educational and social values, and – besides working as educators in Jadwiga – they have also contributed to the other Inter Campus sites in the region: the orphanages in Kazimierz, Sieborowice and Pawlikowice.

Their first aim is to educate using the game, helping orphaned young boys and girls in their development.

The project is all about training, education and lots of passion for a sport which is making waves at national level too, with the Polish national team making the quarter-finals of Euro 2016, inspiring the new generations of Nerazzurri youngsters in the country. Football is on the up in Poland and we’re delighted to be a part of its growth.
