CASABLANCA – Sidi Moumen is a chaotic area where the only thing louder than the car horns is the call to prayer. Some of the Inter Campus kids and the engine of the project Said are from the local shantytowns that endure in the face of government construction. Street sellers sell incredibly red and big strawberries as they way with their carts through the perpetually clogged roads. The El Massir pitch is in this area. They’ve been a partner of Inter Campus since 2005 and inside the walls, the frenetic pace of life is forgotten as you’re transported into an oasis of calm and fun where time seems to stand still.
It’s here where 215 boys and girls find a safe place where they can play football managed by our local educators/coaches who follow their development and help them to approach obstacles away from football. As always, our coaches have trained the local coaches on the pitch and in the classroom which is important so that the Inter Campus methodology can be learned but it’s important to share experiences and suggestions. This time, friends from Inter Club Morocco came to see us, attending Inter Campus activities and feeling even more proud than ever to be Nerazzurri fans.
