[OUR FAMILY IS EXPANDING]

“Maximo, Maximo!” When the children in Bobrov run towards me, I don’t care if they get my name wrong. They remember me, they remember us (I’m with Technical Manager Alberto Giacomini and Technical Referee Juri Monzani). We come twice a year to this village situated 150 km from Voronezh.

Of course, not many foreign visitors come to this institute, but they can always count on us and especially our local instructors Vadim and Alexy, who continue to work throughout the year to support the children in playing, having fun and socialising. They are children with the most varied psychophysical or family problems, but those at the school confirm to us that they are making great progress through the medium of sport. That’s why, in agreement with our local sponsor Pirelli Tyres Russia, we are expanding our operations to Semilukij and Savràsava and will be helping other children who have the same difficulties but also the same desire to enjoy themselves.

Our contact at Pirelli, Alexander (known as Sacha to his friends) Karchenko has put us in touch with a local association that will link the public institutions and constantly update us on the results.

The name ‘Obscie Dieti’, that is ‘Common Kids Foundation’, is an extremely apt one. Not only does it imply that these children belong to everyone, but it also has a second meaning very close to Inter Campus’s way of thinking: they are ‘common children’, children like everyone else. Like all ‘common’ children, they have the right to play, have fun, have hope in life and have people who care for them. As for our part, we will never stop working with them and giving them our support and affection. In November, we will return for an official inauguration and to deliver new sports kits for all of them. See you soon, Obscie Dieti!
