Inter Campus at work in Havana and Granma

The Cuban project continues with a refresher course for coaches. 300 kids involved

HAVANA – Inter Campus has made
another visit to Cuba. Despite the difficulties in moving around the region, Inter Campus coaches Alessio Cacciato and Ricardo Martinez
managed to carry out refresher courses in Havana, Bayamo and
Higuani in the province of Granma, where instructors
and children from Las Tunas and Holguin also joined in.

Around 300 children are currently
involved in the programme and many of them (35%) are girls.

The Italian ambassador in Havana,
Marco Baccin, has shown great interest in the Inter Campus project and offered to help develop the activity further.

The backdrop to Inter Campus’ successful trip was the beautiful
countryside of the Eastern provinces and the smiles of the children
and the Cuban people in general, who find their strength in their
dignity and joie de vivre.
