TRIESTE – Inter Campus and Languages meet Sport are two organisations that work to help children in the development of culture and education.
Languages are a tool that connect populations and give people the opportunity to interact, just like football for Inter Campus is a universal code used as a form of unique, original and effective language.
Inter Campus will hold a series of events during the second L&S European Conference on Intercultural Dialogue for Inclusion in Trieste.
On Saturday 16 October a team of Inter Campus Sarajevo children will play matches against Arsenal Double Club and Trieste middle schools. More than just a game of football, this mini-tournament is an opportunity for mutual knowledge sharing and integration.
The tournament will be coordinated by Inter Campus coaches and will be played from 9:30-12:30 in Piazza Unità d’Italia, where a latest-generation multisports SpeedBol pitch will be set up. The games will continue in the afternoon with the involvement of local football schools and the visit of special guest Francesco Toldo.
From 19:30-21:00 the Starhotels Savoia Excelsior Palace will host the charity evening ‘Trieste meets Inter Campus Sarajevo’. Protagonists of the evening will be the historic coordinator of Inter Campus Bosnia, Predrag Pasic, formerly captain of the Yugoslav national team, and Francesco Toldo, who will unveil Inter Campus Sarajevo’s new inclusion programme for children with special educational needs.
With the special needs of these children in mind, the first stage of solidarity is the donation of a SpeedBol pitch, which will continue its journey from Trieste to Sarajevo.
In the meantime, the entire city of Trieste is invited to contribute to the realisation of this important project.
