MILAN – With the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through direct contact with Dr Massimo Moratti, a delegation from F.C. Internazionale will arrive in Beirut, Lebanon tomorrow. The purpose of the visit is to study the feasibility of setting up an Inter Campus project in the Middle Eastern nation, with football as an instrument of social integration and recreation for the benefit of children between 8 and 14 years old who live in a reality torn by war.

Represented by Massimo Moretti, Massimo Seregni and Aldo Montinaro, the delegation will also visit the cities of Tiro and Jounieh to meet the highest sports authorities and administrative authorities, including Lebanese Football Association president Hachem Haidar, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport Zeid Khiameh, Paralympic Federation official Sharif Wehbe, the majors of Beirut and Tiro, Italian Ambassador to Lebanon Dr Gabriele Checchia, and the contingent of Italian troops of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

The delegation will return to Milan on Tuesday 31 October.
