INTER CAMPUS AND SUNING TOGETHER IN CHINA

SHANGHAI – The Inter Campus delegation had just arrived in China before it, together with Suning, immediately visited two schools in rural areas on the outskirts of Fuyang in the region of Anhui. The visit was preceded by a presentation and meeting with government delegates There were also meetings with the Fuyang education department, local schools, with Suning and the Amity Foundation which has for years collaborated with Suning’s Corporate Social Responsibility Department to carry out social projects in China.

The schools visited are located in rural areas where many of the children’s parents have moved to the big cities for work, leaving grandparents to care for the children and this is where sport and football are taking on an increasingly important role in the education of the boys and girls. The mission’s week came to a close in Shanghai where the Inter Campus delegation returned to Jin Dong School in the Putuoi area which is mostly attended by the children of internal immigrants who’ve come from rural regions of China and who often live in disadvantaged conditions. Activity took place in the typical fashion with training sessions and clinics put on by physical education instructors.
