MILAN – A magnificent sunny day at the Suning Youth Development Centre in Memory of Giacinto Facchetti provided the backdrop as activities restarted for the children from the Centro Maria Letizia Verga.
Now in its seventh year, the ‘Progetto Giocare Aiuta a Guarire Meglio’ (‘Play to Help Recovery’) project assists children recovering from lymphomas and childhood leukaemia and it’s led to significant scientific results as Dr Momcilo Jankovic stated. “Recovery needs a 360 degree effort in which every element contributes to recovery and a return to normality.”
The success of the collaborative work is also demonstrated by the number of boys and girls taking part, with around 60 playing with the Inter Campus coaches as their parents watched on. The kids showed great energy as they ran, played and had fun together. As suggested by Dr Marco Spinelli and Dr Francesca Lanfranconi, for the next event, we could have a match that involves the adults too as everyone returns to their youth when a football comes out!
