INTER FOREVER AND INTER CAMPUS TEAM UP FOR MARATHON

The team of Chivu, Baresi, Cordoba and Toldo completed the circuit on a day marked by a friendly competitive spirit

There was a healthy Nerazzurri contigent among the 20,000 runners in today’s Milano Marathon.

The relay team of Inter Forever stars Cristian Chivu, Giuseppe Baresi, Ivan Cordoba and Francesco Toldo completed the 42-kilometre circuit in under four hours on behalf of Inter Campus Cambodia.

Many Inter-supporting runners were delighted to run alongside the four legends and there was no shortage of smiles, high fives and selfies during the race itself. Waiting to cheer the runners home over the finish line were all kinds of entertainment, table-football games and football freestylers, as well as an Inter Campus stand.

Since 2011 Inter Campus and Missione Possibile Onlus collaborate on a project involve 175 boys and girls of the village of Roong, around 40km away from the capital Phnom Penh. The project aims to support education and organise previously non-existent recreational and sports activities.
