BEIRUT – A football school will be founded in the south of Lebanon this spring thanks to the help of Inter Campus Worldwide. Representatives of Inter Campus paid a trip to the Middle East nation this week to promote the project, with a visit to the military base of the contingent of Italian troops of the UN Interim Force (UNIFIL).

Accompanied by colonel Vittorio Isoldi, the contingent’s vice commander, Massimo Moretti (pictured) and Inter Campus technical responsible Aldo Montinaro met the Tibnin local authorities and presented a project to set up a football school at village’s sports centre.

"The concept of the Inter Campus project is to nurture young players in their own environment, close to their families and friends," said Moretti, who met approximately 200 young aspiring footballers from Tibnin and the neighbouring areas.

After distributing footballs and Inter kits, Montinari held a training session on the local pitch. The Inter Campus mission in Lebanon continues with visits to Beirut and Junieh, a small town 21km north of the capital.
