The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is situated on the northern coast of South America. It has a total surface area of 916,445km2 and a population of nearly 29 million inhabitants. The official language is Spanish and the country’s capital city is Caracas.

Inter Campus Venezuela was established in 2010 in collaboration with the Magallanes Foundation, as a way of supporting sports and educational activities for children living in deprived areas who are at risk of criminal deviance. The project also provides sports and educational training for local instructors.

A total of 100 children and three local instructors are currently involved in Inter Campus Venezuela. The children come from the district of Petare, San Isidro, in Caracas. Daily life for the youth of these areas is characterised by poverty, crime and violence.
